Biology punishes students who revise by reading. The content volume is large but the marks go to precise wording, and the gap between knowing a topic and writing it in a way that scores is wider here than in any other science.
The same few things cost most students most of their marks. These are the ones we attack first.
These are different instructions worth different marks. Answering the wrong one is the single most common way to lose marks in biology, and it is completely fixable.
These need structure, not more writing. We build a repeatable shape so the marks are easy for an examiner to find.
Questions on these are predictable and often badly answered. We go through the method, the control variables and the usual sources of error.
Biology hides maths in its data questions. Students who are fine in maths still lose these marks because they do not expect them.
Recall is tested with retrieval practice rather than rereading, because rereading feels productive and is not. Long-answer questions get marked against the real mark scheme so you can see which specific words earned the mark.

Primary (KS2) through to GCSE and IGCSE, covering years 3 to 11. That includes KS3 across years 7 to 9.

Lessons can be 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1 hour 30 or 2 hours. Longer sessions can be arranged if needed.
You can cancel a lesson free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. For cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, 50% of the agreed lesson fee is payable. Your child’s wellbeing comes first: if your child is unwell, we will waive the cancellation charge, and we consider other genuine exceptional circumstances with understanding. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
